the longest leopard

the sun is setting and it's about to rain. time to stay in and have a glass of wine after a long day. this long chiffon leopard button up is one of my top favorite pieces and remember when i suggested wearing lacey slips tucked into skirts? here is another slip and another way to wear one! also, how much do you love purple nail polish with browns and blacks? i've never really been a fan of purple but i am loving it in small (but intentional) amounts.

this week has been so busy working and doing projects and staying motivated and planning and organizing for the future. plus the next few weeks aren't going to be any slower but i love that. everything is falling into place so beautifully and there is no better feeling than that. i've done a lot of thinking and rethinking and only keeping my eyes on what is wholesome and joyful. yes. i'm on one.

i just mentioned how much i love wearing silk slips out at night during the pajama dressing - yes or no post i blogged about a few days ago. after thinking about it, i couldn't get this black slip out of my mind! the mesh detail at the top is quite nice. i was also inspired by all of these other bloggers showing what they are wearing/wore to these beautiful open-field summertime music festivals that i only wish i went to (although, there is plenty of summer left for that!). actually, this is what i wore out for drinks with my sweet friend lina. she is moving to new york on saturday and i am so sad for me but happy for her because she is going to be living her dreams in real life. you have seen lina on witch doctor before- through her video art and also as a model. kiss kiss!

in the rich light of a morning

didn't have to work until later in the day today so this morning was spent on the front porch drinking coffee and eating a little english muffin. the morning is such a sweet time to be awake. one of my most favorite things to wear recently is this vintage lace slip i found at a second hand shop. its also perfect when you're looking for something to wear with a partially see through long skirt. plus the lace detail at the top of the slip is quite feminine and i love that. a great look for this summer. i honestly wouldn't mind thrifting more of these, i've worn this with so many long/mid-length skirt outfits. now i am off to do some reading! xo
